Restoring hope, building futures

Join Healings Community Center in our mission to transform a historic landmark into Cleveland's dedicated faith-based youth prevention center. Discover how we're building a foundation for children's success and restoring our community.

Our mission

Healings Community Center is a registered Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by U.S. Air Force Combat Medic Veteran Chauntoyia Edwards. Anchored in the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, we believe the Word of God is the most powerful weapon against every giant that threatens a child's future: drugs and alcohol, violence, mental health, tobacco and vaping, obesity and physical wellness.

Our prevention pillars

When restored, our 120-year-old historic church will become Cleveland's dedicated faith-based youth prevention center. Our five prevention pillars address the whole child -- giving every child the chance to grow up whole.

Drug and alcohol prevention

Empowering youth with knowledge and skills to make healthy choices and avoid substance abuse.

Violence prevention

Fostering safe environments and teaching non-violent communication and conflict resolution.

Mental health and resilience

Supporting emotional well-being and building resilience to navigate life's challenges.

Tobacco and vaping prevention

Educating youth on the dangers of tobacco and vaping to promote a smoke-free future.

Obesity and physical wellness

Empowering youth with knowledge of healthy habits, physical activity, and nutrition to build strong bodies and thriving futures.

The restoration project

We are restoring a 120-year-old, 19,000 square foot historic landmark church at 334 E. 156th Street, Cleveland OH 44110. This ambitious project aims to create Cleveland's dedicated faith-based youth prevention center. We are seeking donations, building materials, and skilled labor to complete the full rehabilitation. The greatest intervention is prevention.

Make a difference today

Your support is vital in restoring this historic landmark and providing a safe haven for Cleveland's youth. Whether through donations, materials, or your time, every contribution makes a profound impact.
